How the 3DS Black Rewards Program Works (and How to Earn Faster)

Aug 24, 2023 3 min read 3 3DS Black

The 3DS Black rewards program gives back credit points on qualifying orders, redeemable against future purchases. Most members leave points on the table because the rules are buried in the checkout flow. This guide explains exactly how the program works, what counts toward a point, and how to maximize earnings on your next project.

How points are earned

You earn points on every completed order that contains two or more qualifying models. The base rate is one point per credit spent, with bonuses for pack purchases and seasonal promotions. Points appear in your account balance once the order is marked COMPLETED, usually within minutes of payment confirmation.

Your points balance sits in the account sidebar and updates in real time after each completed order.

What points can be redeemed for

Points convert directly to credits at the published exchange rate, with no fees. Credits work like cash on any model, pack, or interior design purchase. Higher-tier members unlock additional redemption channels — exclusive packs and early access to new releases — but the standard credit conversion is open to every account.

Eligible purchases

  • Single model downloads at any price tier.
  • Pack purchases (bonus points apply — see below).
  • Interior design commissions over the minimum threshold.
  • Re-downloads of previously purchased models, when the original license is still active.

What does not earn points

  • Credit top-ups via PayPal or SePay (you earn on what those credits buy, not on the top-up itself).
  • Promotional or free models distributed during campaigns.
  • Refunded or chargebacked orders (points are reversed on refund).

Pack purchase bonus

Buying a pack is the fastest way to bulk up your points balance. Packs carry a flat bonus of 15% extra points on top of the base rate, applied automatically at checkout. If a single model would earn you 50 points, the same model inside a pack earns 57.5 points. The bonus stacks with seasonal multipliers during the year-end campaign.

Points never expire as long as your account stays active. Inactivity for 18 months triggers a soft expiration warning, not a hard sweep.

How to check your balance

Open the account menu in the top-right corner and select My Points. The balance panel shows your current total, pending points from in-flight orders, and a 90-day earn-versus-redeem chart. The chart is the fastest way to see whether you are earning faster than you spend.

Tips to earn faster without spending more

  • Combine small orders into packs when you can — the bonus alone covers the extra curation time.
  • Wait for seasonal campaigns (Vietnam National Day, year-end) for stacked multipliers.
  • Re-download a model instead of buying it again — the original license keeps earning on re-uses for verified accounts.
  • Refer a studio colleague: the referral program pays a one-time bonus on their first qualifying order.

What to do with a large points balance

Points convert to credits at a fixed rate, so a large balance is best used as a buffer for the next pack purchase rather than dribbled out on small orders. Saving up for one premium pack usually beats spending on five mid-tier singles. Browse our 3D model library to find packs worth waiting for.
