It is especially popular in Turkey. The pumpkin is made by hand, each master has his own handwriting.
The surface of the pumpkin is varnished and carved. Large holes inlaid with colored glass beads
There are three types of fixtures in this model.

There are no light sources in the scene, night renders are given to demonstrate the light transmittance of the glass. A black pumpkin will need a more powerful light source.
