Caution!
1- Who works with V-Ray version lower than 3.1, pay attention to materials section BRDF (Microfacet GTR (GGX)), if your version is older than 3.1 - this section will be empty, and you have to choose: Blinn, Ward or Phong, depend on material.
2- In order to have a better rendering result, you may want to use Caustics. Otherwise, Make sure "Affect Shadows" option in the material assigned to water is checked.
