INSPIRATION: The idea was to make a functional yet unusual-looking working desk for my own design studio. Inspired by the perfect form of a technical instrument, this desk creates a comfortable workspace for one or two people. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Compass, a working desk for architects and designers. This desk creates a comfortable workspace for one or two people and provides an opportunity to draw on a sloped surface thanks to a simple mechanism, which transforms part of the top into a drawing board with a fixed 20 degree angle. The shape of the support legs resembles two pairs of compasses. Many metal details were used in line with the idea of a technical drawing tool. The model is based on the original manufacturer dimensions. Materials and groups are named the same, as the model. Instance geometry, one multi-submaterial for model for easy change or setup. Lowpoly geometry for turbosmooth. Object at 0.0.0, clean and light scene. The archive contains the OBJ file & more previews.
